What is Columbiana County Children Services?

We are the Public Children Services Agency (PSCA) for Columbiana County.  We are the agency mandated by law to investigate reports of child abuse and neglect. We may serve as the custodian of children who temporarily cannot remain in their own home (foster care) and also work to find permanent homes for children whose parents’ rights have been terminated (adoption).  We provide protective supervision services to assist families to maintain a safe and healthy home for their children.

What is Columbiana County Elder Services?

Adult Protective Services (APS) is responsible for investigating reports of alleged abuse, neglect and exploitation of adults over the age of 60, who reside in Columbiana County.

Our Mission Statement

To enhance the lives of elderly citizens, through providing community resources of Columbiana County while maintaining the elder population in the least restrictive environment.

Columbiana County takes referrals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.  Columbiana County Sheriff's Office answers all calls for Children and Adult Services during all other hours (330-424-5715).  Children Services has one worker and one supervisor on-call for the hours that the agency is closed.
